Well I went out last night at my husband's urging to run hills.
I showed up at the Running Room as a group was flying out the door - were they running hills? I asked in my head but not out loud. I got into the store and there was a group milling about. Five minutes later they announced one group was running a 6/7 KM route and the other approximately 4 KM's. Well shit, I missed the group. So out the door I go - asked one of the women running if that group that left before 6PM was running hills "yes" was the answer.
I headed towards Emily Murphy Hill the whole way I was thinking. "You don't have to do this, no one will know". I kept up, I ran a bit faster than my normal pace to catch them... eventually I did. I didn't pause at the top of the hill went straight down - many runners were coming back up for their first repeat.
After the first repeat I said "ok, only two tonight, Jordan - you've been sick". I went up for a second time and got caught up in all the "good job - two more to go!" encouragers on my way. I went down again and promised myself ONLY THREE TONIGHT! Well on my third time up the hill Megan said "one more to go ! you can do it !" and so - it became - four hill repeats of Emily Murphy. My nemises. The toughest hill for me psychologically.
Yes.
And I feel better today.
I ran back to the store with Megan - she had a laugh when I told her the only reason I did the last repeat was because she would've known if I had quit at 3. She runs with the 1:45 pace group. Well, let me tell you it was a quick run back.

I can't remember if you are on Running Mania? If you're not, it's a running/tri forum with a lot of the same people as the RR without the restrictions of talking about other running stores etc. If you want to join the address is www.runningmania.com.
There is a small group of girls getting together on Saturday for a coffee if you're interested in coming. It's at Starbucks - Oliver Square. It would be nice to meet you.
No - I'm not - I'll have to check it out! The location sounds great for a get together :) can I find details at the site?
Here is the link to the thread. It's under Maniac Meet and Greet

I checked it out - but I'm feeling shy :) I can't even find a place on that site to introduce myself. Ahhh... and hubby will have the car.
