Hokay - it's the 24th. 4 more days to Coronation. 4 more days. I'm so very freaked out about it.... I cannot even string a sentence together.
I swam 3K on Saturday morning and then went for a bike after. About 40+KM's on Devon's secondary highways. It was incredibly windy (I'm talking like 40KMPH gusts in your face most of the time) and I was miserable. I felt like crying and giving up - is this what the conditions will be like for GWN? well there's no guarantee.
At least the swim was good - we did a 1000m continuous pull and I finished it in 24 minutes.
Sunday morning I skipped my long run in lieu of some family time. Monday I gardened. I believe I have done all I can do to prepare for Coronation and so I'm in a semi-taper now.
After Coronation (please, please let it be a positive experience!) it's time to ramp the training back up for this crazy idea I had about finishing a half ironman.

You'll do fine!!! I was soooo nervous before my first tri last year. Honestly, it was a great experience. I felt like I had really accomplished something. When you get there, it's going to look like everyone knows what they are doing besides you - don't worry it just looks that way. I use a plastic box for all of my stuff. It doesn't hurt to bring 2 towels - one to stand on and one to dry off with. Then just set everything out in the order you will put it on. Don't draft on the bike. Just like running, everyone remembers their first tri and people are supportive. Maybe I'll see you when in the morning. Sounds like you'll be out of the water well before me though.
Bah! I dunno about that (being out of the water) but I hope to see you - maybe in the morning. I'll try not to talk too much with my nerves running wild...
I'll be just fine, I'll be just fine, I'll be just fine, I'll be just fine....
great blog jordan.....wasn't today like the best day ever....the organization at coronation sucked a bit, but the race was a blast!

Jodan-I should have introduced you to Warren at Coronation. We are all doing GWN for the first time this year. There is a link to his blog on mine.
