Well the scale finally moved in the right direction after a 2 week plateau. Gave me new motivation to keep working on the diet part of the equation.
This week I braved myself out the door early in the morning to introduce myself to the swim coach at NAIT. He was very nice and allowed me to swim with the group - he watched me swim freestyle for a bit and then put me through some drills to break down my stroke. This week I was able to go for the full 1.5 hours twice but next week I will do 3 x 1 hour and maybe 1 extra swim on my own (long swim hopefully between 2 and 3k).
I also ran 14K on the treadmill on Sunday (did I mention that already?) and I think I might just drop back this week for distance running overall since the coach doesn't have me doing a super long run this Sunday but a long bike and 25 minute run following.
Overall I'm feeling well about this week. That I trained sufficiently. That I improved my swimming. That I can increase my running distance and not get injured. That I will be seeing some change in my body if I continue to be aware of the quality of food I use to fuel.
