Well - I'm sure there will be dips and dives in my training schedule.
John went to the hockey game so I had to miss my clinic last night. No 3km tempo run early in the morning for me since I have a yucky sinus infection on top of it being so freaking cold out! I don't have the proper clothes yet to run in this weather. I wear my tights with fleece pants overtop, technical shirt with fleece pullover - and that's ok for -10/-15C without wind but once that wind kicks in - I need something to stop the air!
Yes, I am very whiney about being sick.
This terrifies me about training for such a big event - ie) what happens if you're sick on Ironman day? What happens if you get sick 1 month before Ironman day? I imagine if you've trained properly you should be able to do it - still. I'm such a baby when I'm unwell.
There is a Running Room jacket on ebay - maybe John will grab it for me.
The boys are both still sick. I think we're over the scary part with Caleb and Noah has been doing just fine (except that he ended up in bed with me this morning).
Tonight we're heading out to a Christmas event for the boys - tomorrow is John's company Cristmas party - will post details of my Sunday run on - Sunday!

I've been stressing about the same thing - not having the time to train. I'll write about it in my blog but I had a terrible run on Sunday that has really left me doubting my ability to actually do the half im this year. Not doing anything is the best thing you can do when you're sick - just get better! I think the rest will actually benefit you in the end. Sometimes we are so focused on training that we don't give our bodies time to recover. Do beware - they say training for long distance events does bring down your immune system so you may be fighting off more illnesses to come. Take care!
I feel ya - I didn't get out for the Sunday run. The cold moved into my chest and I couldn't talk. It wasn't pretty. It's been 1 week, 1 days since I've run.
I had a bit of an epiphany about training and goals so I'll write my next post about it... I've read your most recent entry and it sort of sparked an idea.
