Well, the clinic was a guest speaker on stretching. We did a little warmup stretch before running (I hate stretching before running - but oh well - they weren't static stretches which was good in a way). Then off on a 4K tempo run. My batteries died on my garmin halfway through the run - but we were doing about a 6:50/km. My legs were sore - I did not feel like it was a good run but anytime it's tough I know that there's a chance I will improve the next time out.
I will probably rest for 2 days before Sunday. I'm slated to to 12K in my schedule and the group will be doing 14k. I might do the whole 14 but I'm worried about overdoing it since next week is a whopping 18k,then 18k again and then 20k and then 6k and then RACE DAY! Holy smokes. I hope I will be able to do the Edmonton Half after finishing Calgary. I'll have to figure a way to recover and to keep the base training fresh...
