Family

Image hosting by Photobucket

My family makes my running possible. Yesterday I went to the pool - John took the boys swimming at another facility. My goals in some ways take me away from family time - but in other ways our time is enriched as I become healthier and happier.

I love them all very much and I'm grateful every day for such a supportive bunch of boys :)

Great pic!! We all know it takes a team to meet our goals. I know what you mean about feeling guilty sometimes - at the pool last night I was thinking that it was the only evening this week my husband will be home and I should be at with them, but it's also the reason it was my only chance to get to the pool. I hope our son doesn't grow up and say to us one day - you left me at home a lot to pursue your own goals :( You are right about the healthier and happier though-I am a better parent for it.

You can sign up for Coronation? I'm planning on doing it too, but haven't been able to find anything online. Congrats on group leading! I like it except that I'm following all the time so I don't help very many people since I can't keep up to them. I do find 3 times a week gets in the way of my triathlon training though. 2 runs a week is enough for me. After the hypo, I'm switching to a tri schedule.

Hey Kerry,

Here's the link: http://www.edmonton.ca/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_2_272_214_0_43/http%3B/CMSServer/COEWeb/arts+culture+and+attractions/recreation+centres/peter+hemingway/annualcoronationtriathlon.htm

Holy crow that's long... but anyway - to register online you have to have that Elink number? I went into Kinsmen (any City facility can do reg) and register.

the link didn't work,

let's try that again... Coronation

Thanks. I found it online but I don't have a pin number with the city either so I'll have to go and do it in person. It should be a pretty good event, although I'm not looking forward to a 4 loop bike course!

And the course is up and down Groat? I guess I should get out and do hill training on my bike?!

I'm so excited that you're entering! Yay!
