The start of a new week.
On the weekend I did my first highway ride 40K at a fairly slow pace. Ran 10K on Sunday and felt incredible. I could have swam on Saturday too but Coronation was actually closed.
On tap for this week:
Mon: Swim - drills 1 hour (done)
Tues: 5K Tempo run
Wed: Swim - drills 1 hour
Thurs: 4K steady run, bike 1 hour
Fri: Rest
Sat: Long swim, long bike (60K) (maybe borrow a fast road bike for it)
Sun: Long run (12K)
The week following I will probably be doing a light taper week for Coronation.
Tonight at the pool I met a girl named Kathleen who did GWN last year. She was very encouraging about my ability to finish - I needed that. It was almost like an angel appeared to swim class - she gave me her email and said she'd be happy to swim at hubbles with me or go for a long ride.
Sometimes things just make a really crappy day a whole bunch better.... this was one of those moments.

Don't worry-we're in this together!!! Sounds like you're doing all the right things to me,but I can't say for sure since I'm a newbie too.
