Well I did St. Albert. Fact is I finished near to dead last. My friend and I crossed the timing mat together, for what it's worth (alot). The day for me was a lesson in courage, inner strength and outer strength. As I rested the next day I felt a bit like a caged animal who wanted to race in non-blizzard conditions (otherwise known as clear dry pavement).
I'll have to wait for Vancouver. Mind you - I won't be racing that either. So I truly have to wait for Great White North. A priority race.
This week has been shitty for training. My coach still hasn't replied to my email and I have not been updating trainingpeaks (the software we're using) with my workouts because of my frustration (feeling there's no one to report to - that's what I paid my $$ for!!).
I want to ask E at Element if she will coach me but I feel a bit lost already and apprehensive, afraid of hearing "no".
There's 11 weeks to go. I've let the diet slide enough now. It's time to rev up the weight loss and the training. This was a drop back week (only 5 hours) so next week I'm back up to at least 9 (more like 10 - 12) hours of training.
