3 hours

So is 3 hours even possible? It eats at me when I ride.

If it's windy, probably not. If it's really miserable weather then the goal needs to be shelved. But if it's hot, dry and calm - is it possible? I look over previous years results and I don't see why not. I've trained harder on the bike this year than 2006....

I did my own TT ride this week on the trainer. I felt good. I feel best pushing big gears, I'm able to hold aero now in the little gears (which about 2 weeks ago was still difficult for me in the trainer). I'm getting stronger. My mind wanders a bit on the longer rides so I need to sharpen my focus.

Saturday I will try to ride 3 - 4 hours and do about 20 - 30 minutes of running off the bike. I need to find a good route, possibly go with some other cyclists.

It's hard to fit it all in and be a good parent. Kids have a swimming lesson Saturday around noon and I'm finding the scheduling very tough. I keep promising myself and them that things will slow down after Sylvan Lake Half IM and it will. We'll all be able to go out to Penticton and enjoy the water together. No laps for mommy. It's just sorta tough when you're 60 minutes into a 90 minute bike trainer ride and you have to go upstairs to wipe someone's bum =/

Happy training everyone...
